Athes, our proud and mighty warrior has certainly got BIG SHOES to fill with a name like that.  To borrow the words of a puppy owner upon seeing his photo gives one a better sense of his character "Athes fits his name, honorable name for a very proud and kingly boy, like a male lion overseeing his pride."

He is the result of our kennels 1st breeding in February 2002 that combined the outstanding lines of Elfenbein, Risuko, Polar Mist and Sanorka Samoyeds and contributed to the exceptional puppies produced in this litter.

Athes has a strong and noble air about him.  He is a sweet and gentle charmer who loves to watch his world from the comforts of your lap.

This awesome boy made his debut in the show ring at the 2002 U.S. Nationals in Carlisle, PA, where he placed 4th in the 6 - 9 month puppy dog class with a total of 25 entered under Judge Jean Fournier who commented on his "great" movement!

One month later, Athes traveled to the Samoyed Association Of Manitoba Specialty in Winnipeg where he won WD and not wanting to be outdone by his sister's win, won his own

Athes picked up 4 more points the 1st weekend in May by going BOW at the Northwestern Ontario Working Dog Specialty/Lakehead Kennel Club Shows and completed his Canadian championship with a Group 3 win in July 2003.

With limited showing in the US, Athes racked up some notable wins along the way all from the Bred By Exhibitor Class.

WD, BW & BOS over specials for a 4 point major under Mr. S. R. Rogell at the Minnesota River Valley Kennel Club; WD, BW (2 points) under Mr. Robert J. Moore in Cambridge, MN; WD, BW and BEST OF BREED (25 entries) over specials at the Minneapolis Kennel club show for another 4 point major under judge Dana P. Cline.

At the Samoyed Association Of Minneapolis/St. Paul this year, Athes wins RWD to the 5 point major and WD, BW (2 points) at the Lake Minnetoka Kennel Club show under judge Mrs. Keke Kahn where he also went Best BBE in Breed - then on to win Best BBE GROUP 1.  Nice win on a VERY MUDDY weekend!
